At the heart of every health care delivery system is the Provider - here in Chambers County that includes Physicians and Mid-level Providers; both Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners. In the healthcare and medical world, after the patient, everything starts and ends with the Provider. The Provider is responsible for examining you and collecting the necessary information from you to understand your needs. Your provider will determine and order those tests necessary to support the diagnostic processes. And then, working with you, will develop a plan of care and treatment regimen to address any immediate needs, as well as following up with you to insure your recovery and overall long-term well being.
Here in Chambers County we are truly fortunate to be served by a group of dedicated and compassionate Providers, offering a range of capabilities and services, all for you.
Active Staff
Leonidas Andres, M.D.; Chief of Staff
The Patriarch of Bayside Community Hospital’s Medical Staff and Dean of clinical operations, Leonidas “Doc” Andres, M.D. has been practicing in Anahuac for over 30 years. Dr. Andres first came to Anahuac to do a little “moonlighting” while in his surgical residency under Dr. Michael DeBakey in Houston. But he enjoyed the people and the surroundings in Anahuac and Mid-Chambers County, which reminded him of his native Philippines so much that, after he completed his residency, Doc decided to make Anahuac home. Over the years Dr. Andres has delivered countless babies, patched innumerable scrapes and bumps, and performed a myriad of surgical procedures, all right here in Anahuac at Bayside Community Hospital. Today Dr. Andres enjoys a thriving general medicine and surgery practice, is the husband of Del, a local entrepreneur in her own right, and together they are the humble parents of Leo and Eileen.
